Ultherapy for Eye Bags, no results at the 3 month mark, did I make the wrong choice? (photo)

Question

I'm in my late 30s and starting to see signs of dark circles and bags, so I met with a Dr. who specializes in ophthalmology at the end of Dec 2016. He recommended ultherapy. It's been 3 months since my treatment and I haven't seen much change. He said I would see good results at the 3 month mark, but I'm not happy with where it's at. I read it takes time, but now I'm questioning whether I should have gone another route, like restylane. Was ultherapy the wrong choice?

Ultherapy will do nothing for dark circles.  If by bags you mean fat of the lower eyelid, Ultheapy would be an option for that either.

It is hard to appreciate any eye bags in these photos.  Ultherapy would not be a choice for the lower lid fat pads.  It may help if you have malar fat edema.   Ultherapy can take at least 6 months so need to give it more time.

Hello and thank you for providing your photographs. It's hard to understand what you meant by "eye bags". Are you referring upper eye lids or lower eye lid puffiness?. If you meant upper eye lid, then Ultherapy is a phenomenal treatment if it's done correctly and it may take 3-6 months for optimal results. If Ultherapy was suggested for lower eye lids, then it's not the appropriate treatment for you. I would give it another 3 months and definitely go back and speak to the physician who performed the treatment to discuss other options. Hope this helps, Best, Dr,Avaliani
