After how many weeks can I undergo Ultherapy after liposuction of the neck? (photos)

I had liposuction on the neck 3 weeks ago. I love the result, but i think it could go a little bit tighter. Do you think Ultherapy will help? How long should I wait before I can undergo Ultherapy?

With liposuction of the neck, the skin will tighten somewhat depending on the patient. 3 weeks is not enough time to realize that tightening effect. In terms of when it would be appropriate to start Ultherapy, greater than 3 months from the liposuction would be the most ideal time period. Swelling from liposuction could last more than 3-6 months from the surgery, so the later the better. Of course, you should consult with your plastic surgeon, as he or she might have protocols which would allow for earlier treatment with Ultherapy after liposuction. Good luck!

Ultherapy helps to lift tone and tighten the skin along your jawline, lower cheeks and neckline.  I recommend having this done as soon as post liposuction bruising disappears completely- generally by 3-4 weeks after liposuction is done.  The results of Ultherapy accumulate over the course of a year, so the end result after a properly done Ultherapy is seen at about 1 year post treatment as new collagen is created beneath the surface of your skin.  So don't expect immediate results. Do some research on who is providing you with your Ultherapy treatment since the results are very technician/operator dependent!

IN our clinic, we perform Ultherapy treatments as early as 4 weeks after liposuction, but it differs from patient to patient, so Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
