Persistent Right Brow Pain After Fat Grafting (May 2025) - What Could Cause This?
I saw an oculoplastic surgeon for fat grafting to my brows and sub-brow area. Unfortunately, I've developed pain in the mid-to-inner region of my right brow. It feels like a deep-seated pain that comes and goes but is frequent, and it becomes even more painful when the area swells. From time to time, I also get a hot or burning twinge from the same brow. I'm concerned I may have been overfilled or that the fat was misplaced, although I don't know the cause. I don't feel any hard lumps, but the pain has persisted and doesn't seem to be improving with time. Will this likely resolve on its own, or is persistent pain after fat grafting a sign that something is wrong? What are the possible causes, and are there any tests or imaging that could help determine what's going on? When I returned for my postoperative appointment, I felt that my concerns were met with hostility and were dismissed rather than taken seriously. Because of that experience, I don't feel comfortable returning to that surgeon and am seeking an independent opinion. At this point, I genuinely regret ever going to that doctor. If it matters, this Dr. also didnt take pre-op pictures of me. She did take post-op pictures during my post-op appt. This is in Texas. Thanks
