Hello! I had lower blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago, but my left eye looks smaller than the other one after the surgery, the doctor told me that the eye will go back to it is natural shape, but i see that the eye is the same. Is it too early to judge, if the eye doesn't go back to its natural shape does the revision works in my situation? Plz help! Thank you!

Answer: Differences in eye shape after blepharoplasty If you are experiencing eye shape asymmetry after lower blepharoplasty, give your body time to recover. It may take 8-12 weeks for the swelling to resolve and for your tissues to regain their normal elasticity. Most of the time, subtle differences in eye shape correct themselves within this time frame.

Answer: Blepharoplasty Hello! Thanks for your question about blepharoplasty. Usually one side always gets more swelling than the other side, this is related to several factors, one is the natural asymmetry that already exist in all the persons, another is that with surgery sometimes we have to remove more tissue from one side in order to get better symmetry and this could explain that difference. In your case it would be better if you share a picture in order to have a better idea of your eyelids. I hope this info be useful. Sincerely Dr. Luis Eduardo Guerrero
