I think your expectations are highly realistic and if anything results could probably be even better than what you have depicted. this is especially true for bringing in your ways and love handles and hyper feminizing your S-curve. It may be slightly challenging to get a projection on the posterior or back end of your buttocks but you already have good curves and adding up to those should be straightforward and easy. Delivering consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. this includes patients and plastic surgeons. For that reason I recommend all patients put in a serious effort in finding the most talented and experienced provider for this procedure. Results are permanent any reversible. To find the best provider I suggest focusing exclusively unhaving in person consultations whenever possible. During consultations ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures especially patients with similar body characteristics to your own. make absolutely sure that after pictures are taken at least three months from the date of surgery. early fat transfer results can look very impressive but do not at all represent final results. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum of 50 quality before and after pictures and highly experienced surgeons will have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures for this procedure. When reviewing pictures ask specifically what areas were treated and look carefully at transition zone from treated and treated areas. Look critically every treated area to see if there any evidence of contour regularities, divots, streaks or bumps. Personally I view the torso as a single anatomic unit and typically treat the entire torso when doing liposuction. Partially treating the torso or not including all the areas leads to an unnatural fat distribution. A full torso includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, full back and under arms. There is a tendency among some providers to do liposuction as part of this procedure of the outer thighs in an order to make the buttocks look bigger rounder and fuller. In my opinion this destroys the natural S-curve providers should be aiming for and creates very unnatural looking results I sometimes referred to as “the lollipop look”. Instead results should have natural curbs with an extensuated sweeping esc curve that can be seen from the shoulders to the knees. Different providers have very different ideas of how this procedure should be done and results vary accordingly. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of choosing the right provider for is procedure. Finding the right provider may require significant time abd effort and may require having quite a few consultations. When in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations. I suggest avoiding virtual consultations whenever possible. Finally, I suggest reading all reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. Absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than having an abundance of positive reviews. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom, MD
