I am 29, Mexican female. I have bulbous nose & have always been afraid of surgery on my face but I’m wondering if doing it at younger age helps maintain a youthful look as you age into your late 30s early 40s.
Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery Hello! Thank you for your question.Actually you can have a rhinoplasty surgery until 65 (if your health and skin condition is suitable).Anyway, with time the skin looses its elasticity and the recovery/healing time gets longer. There is no ''best age'' to get the surgery done, but I would recommend you to get it now if you are thinking about it. Rhinoplasty surgery is not really painful (you can ask around you if anyone had nose job). Anyway it is more about discomfort during the first days post-op because you have swelling and you will have tampons inside your nose so you will be breathing from your mouth mostly. Anyway after your cast removal you will be better. Best regards!

Answer: What is the best age for rhinoplasty? Hello @mickey0594, thank you for your question. The best time to get it is when you consider you need it. Rhinoplasty can be performed for many reasons such as balancing facial proportions by adjusting the size of your nose in relation to other features, refining a bulbous tip or eliminating a hump on the bridge of your nose. It can also enhance the overall look of your face and result in a rejuvenated appearance. No matter our age when undergoing an elective procedure like rhinoplasty, it’s important to make sure all pre-operative decisions are given proper consideration. Make sure you find an experienced and renowned surgeon who tells you how surgical techniques may vary from surgeon to surgeon. Additionally, clear communication must take place between both parties involved so that expectations match up before going into surgery itself. This helps achieve optimal results with minimal side effects or risks associated with performing delicate procedures such as these ones surrounding the face area. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: The best time for rhinoplasty is when you're ready to have your nose changed. We operate on patients as young as teenagers and as old as their 70s. If you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your nose, there is no benefit in waiting until you are over 30 years of age. In fact, you can start Consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who are for computer Imaging to see whether or not this would be right for you. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Timing Hi there! That's a great question. It really depends on the desires of the patient and technique used. Some prefer to have a rhinoplasty at a younger age to solidify a new appearance as one ages. If the technique for building the nose is solid, the structure and form can last a lifetime in theory. If the rhinoplasty technique is not appropriate, you may be setup for revision procedures in the future. I would meet with several facial plastic surgeons to determine your goals and what is realistic in your case. This will allow you to make the best decision. At 29 years of age, you're certainly not too early to consider a rhinoplasty. Best of luck!
