After I was dismissed from the hospital from the day of rhinoplasty, I went home by car (I wasn't driving). It was an 1h drive. When I got out of the car, I literally forgot about the situation and ran automatically a little bit to my apartment. Maybe 2-3 seconds. Then I walked all the way up (6 short stairs) to my house. I lay down in bed and my face swelled up a lot. Now years after rhinoplasty, I have one hump one one side. Could the running and the swollen face have caused this?
Answer: Your activities the day of rhinoplasty surgery did not likely cause any change in your nasal appearance. Running and stair climbing may have led to an exacerbation of swelling, however, this should not lead to a change in your final result. If you have concerns about your final result, please consider discussing these with your surgeon or consider re-asking your question with photographs. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Could what you did have changed the end result? Icould running as you did have caused your end result problem? no, the little run that you did could not have caused a permanent distortion of your end result. It probably did not even cause the swelling and bruising that you had either. The swelling and bruising that you had is a typical result of the surgery and varies from one patient to the next. But the running and the postoperative swelling would not cause any change in the end result.

Answer: Years After Rhinoplasty It is unlikely that the brief run or facial swelling caused the hump on one side of your nose. I suggest reaching out to the original surgeon or booking a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Rhinoplasty post-op Hello! Thank you for your question.I would need your face photos from front and side to be able to make a proper evaluation. Anyway, I don't think that you ''ruined your nose'' because you ran a few seconds. If you didn't get hit on the nose or if you didn't have any accident since, it may be cartilage that has moved to one side. Best regards!

Answer: Rhinoplasty It is possible that the physical exertion of running and the impact of the swelling on your face after your rhinoplasty could have contributed to the development of a hump on one side of your nose. However, it is also possible that the hump is a result of the underlying anatomy or healing process of your nose after the surgery. It is important to discuss any concerns you have about the appearance or function of your nose with your surgeon. They can examine your nose and provide an informed opinion on the cause of the hump and whether further treatment or revision surgery is necessary. In general, it is important to follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions carefully to minimize the risk of complications and promote optimal healing. I hope this helps; best of luck !
