Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty? (Photo)

Based on these photos, I would not consider you as a good candodate for rhinoplasty; to me your nose looks very proportional and in harmony with your face. However, your profile reveals smal chin! Augmentation with chin implant would further imrove facial balance and harmony. Hope this helps.

I can see that the lower third of your nose is a bit wide, however, you have a wide facial appearance and a cute nasal profile appearance. So in my opinion, your nose works with your face, and blends in. Digital photos rarely replicates an in person visit, so if you're considering rhinoplasty, please consult with several reputable specialists who offer computer Imaging so you could see what to expect. From the frontal view nostrils are wide. Alarplasty will improve that. The tip is mildly bulbous and a closed tip plasty will help define it better.
From the profile view the small chin is more noticeable than anything else.

Are you a candidate for rhinoplasty? your nose looks quite nice already, so if you just want a nostril tuck and some refinement of the tip, that should be doable. You might also consider a chin implant or some long acting filler to your chin, since it looks rather weak in profile.

Every nose is different and unique to that individual. If the appearance of your nose concerns you enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a natural artistically performed rhinoplasty. What would be the best option and exact procedure would depend on an examination and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results can be achieved with either a closed or open technique.

Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you if you are an appropriate candidate and exactly what to do based on very limited photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.

From the limited photographs presented, it appears at all you will need is an alar-plasty to narrow wide nostrils. They're asymmetrical now and they will still be asymmetrical after the surgery. You also have recessive chin, so consider placement of a chin implant to augment your chin forward for better facial balance and proportions. Both procedures can be performed under local anesthesia, or general anesthesia

Thank you for your question. First you have an excellent and normally shaped nose.

Happy in addition on your profile or side view you have excellent tip projection, your tip is elevated above the dorsum of your nose which is what is considered attractive in the side view of a nose.

If you wish to have your nostrils narrowed there is a procedure: Alar base reduction which can narrow the nostrils.

However that procedure sometimes can flatten the nice curved juncture of your nostril with your cheek.

I think your nasal anatomy is excellent and if you came to see me I would suggest that you not have surgery because changing what is a very nice appropriate nose could lead to changes you will be unhappy with.
