Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty? (Photo)

Hello, I’m a 30 y/o Asian female. I’ve never had any cosmetic surgery done but I’ve been wanting to get rhinoplasty surgery for quite some time. My current concerns are the asymmetry and the wide nostrils, especially when I smile. I don’t particularly want a completely transformed nose but just a more defined version of what I have now with a more contoured tip. I do have inspiration photos as well, I’m just nervous of whether it’s achievable or not.

While rhinoplasty with an alar base reduction can make your nostrils appear more narrow and redefine your nasal tip, you may benefit more from chin enhancements. A chin that appears too small compared to the other facial features can contribute to a weak jawline and make the nose appear larger. A properly-sized implant is an ideal choice for creating a well-defined jawline contour. You can also undergo dermal filler treatments to experiment with changes to your nose and chin before making a decision.

If you decide to go forward with rhinoplasty, please keep in mind that it is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. Based on these photos, I would not consider you as a good candodate for rhinoplasty; to me your nose looks very proportional and in harmony with your face. However, your profile reveals smal chin! Augmentation with chin implant would further imrove facial balance and harmony. Hope this helps.

I can see that the lower third of your nose is a bit wide, however, you have a wide facial appearance and a cute nasal profile appearance. So in my opinion, your nose works with your face, and blends in. Digital photos rarely replicates an in person visit, so if you're considering rhinoplasty, please consult with several reputable specialists who offer computer Imaging so you could see what to expect.
