Can I use BioCorneum under my silicone sheeting?

Just wondering,,,,I use silicone sheeting for my anchor lift on my breasts. I love the silicone, but I was given the opportunity to try BioCorneum, and I was wondering if I can use the BioCorneum,,,let it dry, then apply silicone sheets. Or is that kind of a waste of both products???? Any thoughts would be welcome. Im almost 5 months post op.

Yes, you can use BioCorneum under your silicone sheeting!
Personally, I recommend both after the incision is healed to promote by hydration and "splinting" of the incision, which reduces tension and improves scarring.
BioCorneum is a silicone gel that provides a protective layer and promotes scar healing by hydrating and improving the appearance of scars. It works best when allowed to dry and form a thin, flexible layer over the scar.
Silicone sheeting or taping also works by applying gentle pressure to the scar, promoting hydration, and creating a barrier to protect the scar from environmental factors.
Since BioCorneum is a gel, it dries quickly and forms a thin film, which could potentially enhance the effectiveness of the silicone sheets by providing additional hydration and creating an even surface for the sheets to adhere to. Using both products together can provide the benefits of both methods.

We actually replaced the silicone sheets with Biocorneum because the sheets got really messy and Biocorneum has silicone in it and patients really like it and it seems to help.
