Allergies to bioCorneuim? (Photo)

Question

I had a neck and facelift over 6 weeks ago. I've been using bioCorneum for the scar cream. Beginning about 5 weeks post surgery, my incisions became oozy, bumpy, and scabby. I'm six week post. Yesterday, I got a rash behind my ears. I'm concerned that it may be caused by the bioCorneum cream. I did not apply it last night or today. The PS is closed today. I hate not following his instructions but if is is an alergy to bioCorneum, I presume I shouldn't continue to use.

You have done the right thing. Wash the area gently to remove the product. Hydrocortisone cream can be used to cool the rash, aquaphor can also be used to facilitate healing. Go see your doctor for evaluation.  It is rare to have a reaction to biocorneum, but everyone is different. BestMatthew Camp

It is possible that you are seeing an allergic reaction to the scar cream. You should stop using it if you think it’s causing the irritation and rash you’re experiencing. Visit your plastic surgeon for a follow-up visit as soon as you can to have your condition assessed in person. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your questions. I am sorry to hear you are having this difficult. I think you're on the right track however, I would certainly recommend discontinuing the bioCorneum until you can be evaluated by your surgeon. Hope this helps.
