I have been using the silicone gel for my post operative care. I had slashes that did not follow the normal crows feet area, but rather extend out past by brow. Should I continue since I have enough gel for another 6 months, or should I use in the summer only? Can the sun still damage the scars after one year?
Just wondering,,,,I use silicone sheeting for my anchor lift on my breasts. I love the silicone, but I was given the opportunity to try BioCorneum, and I was wondering if I can use the BioCorneum,,,let it dry, then apply silicone sheets. Or is that kind of a waste of both products???? Any thoughts would be welcome. Im almost 5 months post op.
I am 5.5 weeks post op BA with inframammary fold incision. I started using Biocorneum at 1 week PO per my surgeon's instruction, twice a day and incisions are healing nicely. I plan to use for 2-3 months as directed. I don't like that Biocorneum contains 4 sunscreen ingredients and has a strong sunscreen smell, as I'm using it in an area not exposed to sun. Is there a scar cream you recommend after I finish Biocorneum for ongoing use that does not have unnecessary ingredients? thank you
Do I have to wait until the wound (road rash) is completely healed (all scabs gone and abrated area completely covered with new skin) before applying. One area was fairly deep and although there is no longer any drainage and scabbing, the new skin hasn't completely formed over (a slight fissure).
