I had a bbl 7 years ago . Gained about 40 pounds , my butt ended up HUGE . Last year I lost alot of weight . Now I'm 145 and I'm ready for a new bbl and body contouring . Am I still a good candidate for bbl and will a bbl correct the saggy ness at the bottom I’m 5 * 4 145 pounds . 34 year’s old.
Answer: Considering revision BBL for deflation and sagging The best chance for BBL success is the first time around. After a 40 pound weight loss and now deflation and sagging of the buttock, a second round BBL is more likely to disappoint. Likewise i do not recommend a buttock lift from above the buttock to correct the sagging. In general, buttock “sagging” is usually a combination of loss of volume or deflation and/or the effect of aging and gravity. So, I personally first treat patients like you by restoring volume to the buttock with buttock implants not BBL. This will create a more desirable smooth and rounded perky buttock profile. If not adding volume with an implant, the buttock will be shortened but may appear more flat with just a buttock lift. Instead ,a lower buttock tuck at the lower buttock-thigh junction is usually then performed at six months following implants. In this sequence, the implants have fully settled into final position so that any remaining loose skin can be most accurately identified and removed with the lower buttock tuck. Please note, because an extremely few number of board certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants, you may have to travel away from your local area to seek consultation with this particular type of surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: BBL revision Dear Bodybody2022, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: 5'4, 145lbs, 40lbs weight loss, am I a good candidate for BBL revision? Appears you can improve on your body/butt appearances with redo lipo 360/redo BBL. As for inferior or minor diaper booty effect, no surgeon can ever guarantee results. But you need filling above the inferior buttock. Expect fees in the $6,000-$12,000 ranges.

Answer: Revision bbl Your photos are suboptimal for proper evaluation. You would need adequate fat to liposuction in order to for the fat transfer to make a difference. I’m not sure you have enough. Dr T

Answer: Secondary BBL after weight loss The first thing a plastic surgeon needs to know is what you’re trying to achieve or what you don’t like about your current body. Weight loss patients typically do not make for great candidates for either a liposuction or fat transfer because weight loss can cause skin laxity. It doesn’t mean that patients who’ve lost weight can’t have the procedures but the ideal candidate typically has tight skin. Based on your pictures you have a flat spot on your lower inner buttocks. This area is difficult to get a project with fat transfer. The surrounding areas will project nicely with fat transfer but the flat spot where most of the pressure goes in a sitting position has connective tissue that anchors the skin to the underlying muscle inhibiting it from projecting by simply adding fat. If that is your concern then you need to understand the inherent limitation. Droopiness of your lower buttocks is most likely related to inappropriate Liposuction of the back of the thigh. We need to see appropriate before and after pictures in order to make a quality assessment. I always recommend having multiple in person consultations to get an accurate assessment and a thorough understanding of what can or cannot be accomplished. The outcomes of these procedures vary substantially purely depending on who does the procedure. Look for surgeons with an excellent reputation who have years of experience proven by impressive collections of before and after pictures. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
