Good afternoon,1 pound = 454.5 cc (approx.)Therefore, you should have had around 11 lbs of fat removed. However, liposuction is a contouring procedure and not a weight loss procedure. Also, you should clarify how much fluid was injected before the surgery. For example, two doctors can say that they removed 10,000 cc, but one injected 1000 cc's beforehand and the other injected 2,500. This will make a difference in how much fat was actually removed. I hope this helps. Best Regards,Dr. Jose M. Soler-Baillo, M.D, M.S,Miami-based, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Roughly this is about 10 pounds of fat. This does not include any of the fat that might not survive still inside of you. 5 L of fat removal is substantial.
5250 cc of fat.Density of fat is 0.9 grams per cc.So: 5250 x 0.9 = 4725 grams of fat.4725 grams is 10.4 pounds. So 5250 cc of fat is 10.4 pounds of fat.(I notice that other answers to this question assume that fat has the same density as water. In fact, fat is a little less dense than water. So my answer makes a slightly lower weight of fat removed).
A 5200 cc liposuction is a little over 11 lbs of weight. Many specimens are a combination of fluid and fat.
When we perform tumescent liposuction we add fluid with local anesthesia and a medication called adrenaline to limit any bleeding. The fluid that is then removed has the fat in it, and we measure that fluid in ccs. After the fat has separated we measure how much fat has been removed, and 1000 cc of fat represents 2.2 pounds of fat. So doing the math, you had about 11 and 1/2 pounds of fat removed. Congratulations!
Patients with chronic diseases are still candidate for liposuction if these illnesses are quiescent.

Liposuction is one of the most commonly performed surgeries around the world. While any surgery carries some degree of risk, liposuction in general is considered a low-risk procedure, particularly if you select a board-certified plastic surgeon. I suggest scheduling a consultation with a...
