The doctor I have seen wants to perform a donut lift with a minor lollipop on the left. He said it will be skin only and all done under local. My question is will this make the stretch marks on the upper portion of breast look better? Just looking for an improvement but wondering what I should expect. I do NOT want implants.
Answer: Stretch marks after a lift Often, a mastopexy will reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It is important to understand that the stretch marks are not eliminated. They are simply less noticeable because the skin is pulled tighter. On another note, in my opinion a doughnut lift will not give you the best result. Although I could be wrong since I am not able to do physical examination on you, my impression after looking at your photos is that a vertical mastopexy would probably give you a better result.

Answer: Breast lift Dear marriedtoyou, breast lift will remove loose skin and improve stretch marks. My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. Answer: The Bellesoma Method Thank you for your question and photos, Unfortunately, there has yet to be a solution to stretch marks that is 100% effective. A traditional breast lift will not help them. However, The Bellesoma Method is a technique that will pull the stretch marks down lower on the breast. It won't get rid of them, but it will take them away from the top of the breasts where they are less visible. TBM lift creates upper pole fullness without using implants or the ugly vertical scars. The incisions are hidden around the areola and in the inframammary crease. The vertical incision has been completely eliminated. The areola incision heals almost invisibly due to the fact that there is hardly any tension on the closure. With this particular technique, ducts are preserved along with nerve supply maintaining nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. The areolas are reduced to normal size at the same time. Because the breast is reshaped internally and is secured to your chest muscles, upper pole fullness is possible without an implant. Attached is a patient who underwent The Bellesoma Method. Please note that her tissue was used to create upper pole fullness and cleavage without any foreign materials (mesh, implants, etc). It is a proprietary technique that only surgeons that have been trained by me can perform. I hope this helps. Best wishes and kind regards, Dr. Gary Horndeski

Answer: Stertch marks You might want to consider microneedling or micropen treatments for the stretch marks. Making the skin tighter with implants can improve the appearance of the stretch marks for a while. Just a breast lift will probably not change much.

Answer: Breast Lift Dear Marriedtoyou, I think in any circumstance, it would be hard to make stretch marks look better. Unfortunately, in 2017 (almost 2018) ... we don't have any significant cure. So, I would recommend going into your surgery expecting them not to look better. However, depending on how tightly the skin is pulled with your lift... they shadowing from the indented concave stretch marks might be slightly improved due a rubber band effect. Hope this helps and good luck...

Answer: Breast lift and stretch marks Thank you for this relevant question. Whereas a breast lift will not actually improve the quality of skin it will reduce the appearance of the stretch marks dramatically by increasing tension on the skin. The donut mastopexy is, in my opinion, only a good choice in combination with breast augmentation with either implants or autologous fat transfer. I would suggest a lollipop mastopexy with only a vertical scar that will deliver a more natural shape. Good luck on your journey. Have a wonderful rest of the day and greetings from the beautiful island of Jamaica.
