I had lip fillers 5 days ago and my lips feel tight and sore. What do you recommend? (Photos)

I had lip fillers 5 days ago and my lips feel tender and tight. They feel hard and uneven and when I purse my lips they turn white! Any recommendations or advice will be appreciated. I don’t really want them dispersed as I had this done previously and this appeared to disperse some of my natural lip. Thank you

It takes 2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before adding filler, but I recommend following up with your injector about your desired results and recommended timeline. Hope this helps.

Hi and thanks for your question.Swelling is not uncommon after injectables, and it can take up to 2 weeks for the swelling to settle down.Sleep with your head elevated, drink lots of water, and you can use arnica topically to help the swelling go down.Have a wonderful day!Dr. Taghizadeh

Juvederm Ultra may give you longer lasting results. Lip filler results typically last 6-9 months. I suggest following up with a cosmetic dermatologist. Hope this helps.

It appears to be normal bruising base on your picture. It should fade in the next few days, and Arnica can be helpful in resolving it. However, if there is worsening pain and/or changes in skin color and condition, you must return to your injector for assessment.

I don't recommend it. Usually a numbing cream is applied to increase your comfort during injections and some fillers have lidocaine. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit swelling and/or bruising. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your injector. Hope this helps.

While this should be fine, avoid firm pressure to the treated area and understand you may have some swelling after treatment. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. Hope this helps.
