Hi, I am 1.67cm and 54kg, I currently have a « full » size A cup (80). The base of my breast is 11.5cm My surgeon will operate over the muscle and suggested 340cc demi or 400cc full (motiva ergonomix). I don’t really see a difference between full and demi, I like cleavage but surgeon said my breast were quite far apart anyway so wouldn’t get much more cleavage ? Thanks for your help and advice
Answer: Implants For you, I would suggest the smooth round implants placed behind the muscle to give nice upper breast fullness and avoid seeing the edge of the implant. You could go with 475 cc's which is in between, but either size would look nice. I prefer the smooth round implants for fewer long term risks and softer feeling breasts.

Answer: Size Selection Good morning, The best way to determine the proper implant is to try on sizers in the office with several different tops- have your PS help you with this. In general when debating between two sizes choosing the larger of the two is the way to go. You should be able to achieve nice one finger cleavage with proper implant selection.

Answer: Mini Lift with small implants or fat transfers Your breasts are widely separated. Augmentation alone will be insufficient. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be place totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear lvsmith, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Choosing implant size is difficult It appears from your photograph that you have had a breast lift in the past. Due to the scarring and change in blood supply to the nipple/areola, I would recommend the implant be placed UNDER the muscle, not ABOVE. For cleavage, you will need a bigger implant. The most common complaint after breast implant surgery is that the women wished they had chosen a larger implant size. Go with the bigger implant. Always consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience in breast enhancement procedures. Verify that the surgical facility is licensed and accredited to assure your safety. Good Luck!
