This bald spot stands out even when I'm shaven clean and stands out even more when there is a bit of stubble. Any suggestion on the ways I can cover it up?

Neograft is just an instrument used to take out the hair grafts using the FUE technique.  It is not a type of surgery.You will lose your transplanted hair as well as some of your native hair weeks after surgery. You may look worse before it starts to look better. It may take 6 to 12 months...

If your infection is treated your donor area will heal eventually.  How it may look after it has healed is anyone's guess.

Rogaine will not likely speed up the growth after a hair transplant surgery.  Some doctor recommend it.  It is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor.

Dear Balding21Thanks for the question. There is no age limit as such for a hair transplantation. But people under the age group of 18 years to 80 years usually options for hair transplantation as the symptoms of balding and spot balding occur within this span of life. I wish you all the best.

If my patients are using fibers to conceal balding I have them stop using it for 2-3 weeks after their surgery. At 5 months you can use it without any problems and it should not have any effect on the transplanted follicles.

It may be a scar or it may be an anchoring implanted device called Endotines.  It is a good idea to follow up with your doctor for an exam.  They are usually well behind the hair line.
