This bald spot stands out even when I'm shaven clean and stands out even more when there is a bit of stubble. Any suggestion on the ways I can cover it up?

This is expected, but what you are seeing is the shedding of the transplanted graft crusts along with some of the hairs. The roots are still there, so don't worry. You should see hair growth by the 8th month or earlier.
I have tried this on one side and not on the other side and did this for a year on many patients. The results clearly showed there was not difference between the two side (rogain and not rogain). This clearly shows that this drug does not speed up transplant growth.
