Post FUE recovery. Is this OK? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Yes, this looks normal. However, recovery time can vary from the patient and from the Doctor who performed the procedure. It is very common to still have the scabs and the crust. Also, beware that onces the hair starting growing, it will fall out again. It is in Shock mode.

Best of luck!

Is hair transplant necessary at this age and hair condition? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hope all is well. We had a similar patient 6 months ago and I will tell you he is very happy he went ahead and did the FUE procedure. However, you must realize your hair is going to keep falling out. It might be best to come in for a free consultation and have a scalp analysis.

How much would a beard transplant cost in Houston, TX?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
We would like to be able to give you an exact answer. But it is hard to tell until we can see the donor hair and the amount of grafts needed. For an idea, we have done them between the price range of $2000- $4000. All is based on how many grafts might be necessary to give the look your husband is looking for!

Best of luck!

Sweating at the gym - will it affect my hair grafts?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Congrats on the new look! After 5 week the grafts should be settled and good to go.  However the weight loss could mean there is something else going on. I would reach out to your doctor and just go in for a quick check-up.  Good Luck!

If I were to have FUE and use my chest hair as the donor site, what would be the damage to donor site? (e.g. scarring)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Ideally we like to use hair from the same part of the body. It is very unlikely that your chest hair would be used as donor hair. We like to take hair from the back of the head where it continually grows and replace them on parts of the head that is receding.  Using hair from other parts of the body are not always going to be receptive to the new location. You should seek a doctor near you and dicuss your options with the doctor.

Best of luck!

Best option for replacing hair on scar?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
The best option would be for you to look into a FUE process. This will be able to remove hair and place it on the location of the scar. Best of luck!

If i get Hair Transplants, will my other hair in the front just fall out, leaving me with just the transplanted hair?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
After replacing some of the hair, it is still possible that the rest of the hair could fall out. Your hair is still your hair and the same hair that feel out before the transplant. This is why it is best to consult your doctor and discuss your plan for the future. It is often that we hold off on a procedure and wait a little bit longer to see what other hair loss might occur. However, there are products out there that can help slow down hair loss.

Good luck!

28 days post op Neograft, I noticed quite a bit of grafts have fallen off. Is this normal? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Yes, this is normal and happens with all patients. Your hair will regrow back as it was just in "Shock." Now the hair growing back might be even thicker and able to show better results.

I have a bald spot on my jaw. Can it be covered up by permanent makeup that is resembling fresh shaven skin? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
The best suggestion we can offer is to go with FUE. It is a new hair transplant procedure that transfers hair follicles to a needed area. We often do facial hair transplants and this is the perfect example of why someone might be interested in doing so. We wish you the best of luck!

Which is best FUE or FUT? Which output is good? (Photo0

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
FUE is new technology that can offer more detailed results. We have learned that we are able to get better folliculars and able to place them much easier. We are seeing more strains of 5-6 grafts per follicular which will give the patient more grafts. In return giving the patient a better result.

Also, FUE is less painful. No Linar Scar and no Stitches. It is a lot easier on the patient due the procedure and during recovery time. We would suggest going with FUE instead of FUT.

Let the Hair Growth Begin!

So I didn't have hair loss inasmuch as I wanted to lower my hairline. We originally agreed on 1,800 grafts, but I only needed 1,302. The staff was awesome as was Dr. Farhan who performed my procedure. Updated on 3 Mar 2020: Did my day 10 wash to get rid of the scabs. Got about 98% of them. The funny thing now is realizing how high my forehead was pre-surgery. I didn't have a lot of loss, but I never liked my high hairline. Anyways, these hairs will shed, I'll enter the "ugly phase", and then new permanent hairs will grow. The crazy thing is how many compliments I've already received! Stay tuned folks! Updated on 16 Mar 2020: Day 23, and I have officially entered the shedding phase. This is where one must exercise patience, as the grafts go into a mini-hibernation. This was to be expected, so it's awaiting game from here. Updated on 20 Jul 2020: My hairline is filling in quite nicely. I had 1,302 to lower my hairline. That pic was from last month (at the 4 months post-op time). I Will post month 5 photos to show you the progress. It's a marathon, and not a sprint must be very patient. the results will come I promise Updated on 22 Jul 2020: I had my FUE procedure done on Feb 21, 2020 at RESTORE Hair in Plano, TX. I'm from CA, but chose the location because the clinic really made me feel comfortable, and I got a good price. 1,302 grafts to lower my forehead, and fill in the receding corners. Updated on 20 Jan 2021: Wow it's almost been a year. Such an incredible journey. Final results are 12-15 months, so I'm just about there. All pics are WITHOUT hair fibers. Thinking about a second procedure for more density, but that may just be Hair greed.

Amazing doctor and staff, results exceed expectations already!

Dr. Katona and his staff are of the highest caliber of professionalism with the perfect blend of friendliness. I feel you need to really educate yourself before committing to these sorts of decisions and he put me at ease with both his knowledge and presence. My procedure was split over 2 days (about 10 hours each day). I was comfortable and at ease the entire time. The recover was super easy. 1 week of hiding in my house and then i left for a European vacation for 2 weeks and hung out in Austria with a hat on and nobody knew anything. By the time i returned, the shaved area of my scalp had started to grow back and i looked like I had a modern close haircut with zero scabs or other signs from the procedure. The photos here are from before and 148 days after - so not even 6 months - and my understanding is that the 'big' growth hasn't even begun yet - that tends to occur between 6 and 10 months. Dr. Katona has my HIGHEST recommendation!

FUE Hair - Oak Brook, IL

I had this procedure done by Dr.Katona at RESTORE. 1800 grafts. I am very happy right now and I was told the full results wont be obtainerd for another 5 months. This was roughly a 6 to 7 hour procedure, including a 15 minute lunch break. The staff and the Dr. himself were very kind, courteous and professional people. I am very happy. Updated on 23 Mar 2017: !3 months after my procedure I am happy for the most part. I wish the hair would have become fuller/ thicker but that is not the case. Still a huge improvement so I am satisfied. Now I have the crown of my head that has gone totally bald.  I am going to look into a different clinic because this Dr. and his business has gone through the "roof" in popularity due to one retired professional foot ball player. Great Doctor, great staff and God Bless them and their success.  I see quite a few people going out of the country for this so that will be what I will be researching.  Thanks to everyone that is on here and those that manage this site.
