Coolsculpting vs skin tightening for chin?

Hello and thank you for your question and pictures. The issue with your double chin, like most people, is a combination of fat and loose skin. I think you would benefit the most from a treatment such as ThermiTight which can both melt fat and tighten loose skin and most often needs only a single treatment session. This will save you a significant amount of money compared to CoolSculpting, Kybella, and Forma. Make sure you see an experienced physician who has multiple treatments for the double chin to ensure you are getting an honest, unbiased opinion. Best wishes.

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the images, I would address two concerns: submental fat underneath the chin as well as skin laxity. I would probably recommend liposculpture in the treatment area to address the submental fat and combine this with ThermiTight, a skin tightening device that can be used at the same time. These procedures have some downtime, and thus, if you would like a non-invasive approach, I would recommend two overlapping CoolMini cups. CoolSculpting not only helps get rid of fat, but also causes some skin tightening.  Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in chin contouring to ensure your procedure is safe and successful.

Hello and thank you for the good pictures. I think you have a laxity issue with a small amount of additional fat. With these two issues in mind, Kybella would not be your treatment of choice. MiniFX would be very nice for you. The bipolar radiofrequency would tighten your skin and the fat busting would help your small amount of fat. I hope this helps your decision making process.

Hi there,Based off of your photos, you have a combination of skin laxity and fullness. Coolsculpt is a great non-invasive fat reduction treatment. It will help to get rid of the fullness, but it will not address the skin laxity. A synergistic approach using both Coolsculpt as well as some type of skin tightening method will be the best treatment plan for your specific concern. There are many different skin tightening options out there, such as Radio Frequency or Ultrasound technology. If you're not comfortable with the treatment plan your service provider suggested, I recommend having one or two more consultations other offices nearby before making a final decision.

For the submental area under the chin, it is typically a combination of fat reduction as well as skin tightening that is needed to reach your goal.  CoolSculpting of the area with a mini applicator, and then following with several radio frequency treatments of JuVaShape laser to affect skin tightening would be a great option for you.  I hope that helps!

It looks like there is more loose skin than fat. CoolSculpting would not be the best treatment because it does not tighten the skin. Non-invasive laser treatments could help tighten the skin but it will need a series of treatments but it's not a permanent fix. Hi there and thank you for your question! In our practice, we would recommend you see our NP or PA's to review with you the non-surgical options. That would likely be a combination of cool mini to address the excess subcutaneous fat and Ultherapy to help further tighten the skin laxity. Cool mini would likely require 2-3 cycles per treatment and often patients need at least two treatments. Ultherapy would be one treatment, but once a year for maintenance. From your pictures I don't agree with the clinic that told you it's more of a skin issue than a fat issue.  You're only 36 and the area does seem a bit full.  Kybella plus Ultrasound or RF would be a great for you, but apparently not an option.  I wouldn't waste money on coolsculpting or forma. Although I do like both, I don't they will be effective enough on the amount of fullness in the area.  You are probably not going to get the results you want without a lot of expensive treatments.  Laser liposuction would be a great alternative for you that will remove the fullness as well as tighten and contour the neck, and in most cases, you don't need general anesthesia. Please do your homework and make sure you see someone who is knowledgeable about lasers and you will have beautiful results.
