A year ago I got my first treatment of CoolSculpting on my neck. After 6 months I went back for my follow up and they seen I got bigger. Staff advised to do another treatment for free. Got my second treatment done. Went back a few weeks ago for my 7 month follow up and my neck actually got bigger. The staff suggested I try Kybella but I’m nervous to put anymore money into something that might now work or make it worse. Suggestions? Why didn’t it work on my fat cells?
Answer: PAH Hello there, this may indeed be PAH as mentioned below, or it may just be an increase in skin laxity from aging? This is hard to know without examining the area more closely. I would recommend consulting with an expert. Skin tightening may be a better option for you. Besides the obvious surgical options, there are several non-surgical options for skin laxity at this time. Exilis Ultra and Ultherapy are two of my favorite. Good luck! Sarah RN BSN

Answer: Submental Fullness I am so sorry about your experience! We typically recommend a combination of treatments for under the chin. Kybella is an injected medication that dissolves fat and may be a good option for you to try. It works differently than CoolSculpting does, so hopefully you would not have the same outcome. Results for Kybella tend to be very gradual and often multiple treatments are needed. I would also recommend including Thermage in your regimen, which is a collagen procedure which often helps to lift and tighten the skin somewhat.
