Yes, Coolsculpting can be used for fat reduction in the knees. In our practice, we've been using Kybella and getting good results for knee fat. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert to determine the best course of treatment for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Yes, the CoolSculpting applicators used to treat the subcutaneous tissue of the distal knee should be safe as they will not directly treat over the knee. I would recommend that you book a consultation at an experienced cosmetic clinic to assess whether you’re a suitable candidate for this treatment. Warm Regards, Dr Glenn Murray, Absolute Cosmetic Medicine
We use the petite or mini applicator, off label, to target the fat around the knees. This works very well for the right candidate. Because the hardware is not in the direct path of the treatment, it should not be effected by the treatment. In your case, you should insist that a licensed physician evaluate you prior to treatment just to make sure that you are a good candidate.
We have had some limited success with coolsculpting around the knees. It's not always possible. In good hands, and for the right candidates, the results can be phenomenal, so be sure to select a board-certified experienced plastic surgeon to evaluate and treat you.
There should be no reason you would not be able to treat the area around the replacement. I would avoid treating over the scar itself, but the fat pockets around the area could be treated.
Coolsculpting around the knee area is no problem after having knee replacement so long ago. Coolsculpting works very well for stubborn fat pockets around the knee but if you have firmer or more fibrous tissue around the knee it may not give you as much improvement. Schedule a consultation with a provider that has experience in treating a variety of knees to determine if you are a good candidate. Best of luck!
Since the surgery was done so many years ago it should be no problem to have Coolsculpting now for your knees. It is a very popular area to treat as well as the inner thighs and arms. Please consult an expert in Coolsculpting for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
You can certainly have coolsculpting done as your knee replacement was done 8 years ago. You will need a consultation from a physician to make sure that it is feasible in your case. Best Wishes
You can certainly have CoolSculpting around your knee. Your previous surgery is not a concern. The only time someone should not have CoolSculpting is if the area has a fresh surgical scar less than six months old.
Hello there! Coolsculpting will not affect your knee replacement in any way. The only challenge with this area could be the shape of your knee. Coolsculpting can be used anywhere there is "pinchable" fat that allows the suction of the machine to work. The knees are typically a very small area, limiting the possibility that an applicator can actually suction to them. I would recommend consulting with an expert. Good luck! Sarah RN BSN
