Can a tummy tuck, breast lift with implants and bbl be done at the same time
Answer: Mommy Makeover AND BBL; NOT a Good Idea alexandrivxo. The reason most plastic surgeons in the United States do not do both these procedures simultaneously is 2-fold. Firstly, recuperation would be extremely difficult because you cannot sit or lay on your butt or back for at least 2 weeks after BBL. If Tummytuck is done simultaneously, you cannot lie on stomach, too painful; only option standing or laying on sides! Secondly, each of these procedures carries a slightly higher risk of either blood clots or fat particles breaking away and traveling to the lungs, a potentially life threatening condition called pulmonary embolism. Doing both procedures at same time statistically increases those risks, which is unacceptable to most plastic surgeons here in the U.S. Safety is a primary concern here, not necessarily so in third world countries offering mega operations at a giant discount. Better to do the BBL first to harvest maximal fat for transfer to butt, then 3-6 months later do the Mommy Makeover. Much safer option and probably better result! Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Save the BBL for Later I would recommend doing the tummy tuck and the breast lift with implants together and doing the Brazilian butt lift as a separate procedure. If you were to do all the procedures together, you would have an extremely difficult recovery. After a BBL, you cannot lay on your butt or back for at least two weeks. If you do a TT as well, you cannot lie on your stomach either. This would force you to rest on your side or stand during recovery, which is not ideal.

Answer: Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift and BBL at the same time This is a very good question, and the answer is complex. The goal of all surgery is to do the procedures safely. This would involve keeping your surgical time under 6 hours. Often tummy tucks and breast lifts are done at the same time. Fat can be harvested from your abdomen, prior to beginning the tummy tuck as a source of fat to transfer. The deciding factor is how small or large you are to determine if all these procedures can be done simultaneously.

Answer: Multiple The answer to your question is yes. The surgeries can all be performed at the same time. The better question, however, is "should they be done together?" I am sure that there are surgeons that perform this combination surgery often and maybe even safely. But many of us would agree that there are increased risks of complications and less than optimal outcomes when done together. Recovery positioning is also difficult when combining the tummy tuck with the gluteal augmentation. I would recommend liposuction and fat grafting first followed by the breast and abdominal surgeries 2-3 months later.

Answer: Mulitple procedures Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. It depends on your medical history and exact plan for this surgery. In patients who are in excellent health and can obtain full medical clearance from their primary physician, in my practice I do perform this combination of surgery safely, but only in the appropriate patient. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
