Often times, excess skin around the mouth is from a loss of volume in the mid-face. There are two things that I would recommend:1. Adding volume with fillers in the mid-face, usually with fillers or fat2. Fractionated CO2 laserI recommend seeking out a Board-Certified plastic surgeon who will accurately examine your facial anatomy and formulate a plan tailored to your needs. Good luck!
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you very much for your question. Based on your age and desired results, you may be a great candidate for a Novathreads procedure. This is minimally invasive procedure that places dissolvable PDO threads, done under local anesthesia that can lift the jowl and improve the jawline. Results can last anywhere from 6 months to a year and can be repeated easily for maintenance of the correction.
Ultherapy is the non invasive way to tighten, tone and rebuild collagen to pull back the cheeks. It is the sagging cheek that is the cause of sagging skin around the mouth called the marionette lines. Dermal filler injections can also inflate the cheeks as well as fill in the jowl, nasal labial and marionette areas.I would suggest having an Ultherapy treatment to pull back the area and then determine if dermal fillers willbe needed as well.
In young patients with mild skin laxity, non surgical skin tightening treatments like Ultherapy can be beneficial. Be sure to communicate your expectations clearly as the non surgical treatments are not as effective as surgery. If you combine skin tightening with fillers, you can get a better result.
An exam or photos of your entire face would be helpful to give you the best advice. In general, non-surgical treatment options to help improve sagging skin around the mouth would include fillers and possibly Ultherapy. Surgical treatment normally would provide the most improvement, but some people may not be good candidates for surgery yet or may just not desire surgery.
Thanks for the question, in young woman like you we typically do two things. First we lift from above with filler in the midface and cheeks and than we can tighten the skin with either laser or ulthera. These combinations can rejuvenate non surgically quite well
You will likely have the best result from a combination of treatments. HA fillers work well around the mouth to give support to tissue and minimize the appearance of deeper lines. Morpheus8 is also a great option. This minimally invasive treatment combines RF technology with microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture. We recommend using medical grade skin care products like Transform MD and wearing sunscreen every day. I've included a video that I hope you find helpful.
Yes. Fillers can work wonders treating or lifting a sagging mouth. The right one is really going to depend on your anatomy so schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist to be assessed and discuss.
