I am leaking from where the tubes were placed in the pubic area. It is leaking through the binder, underwear and pants. There is fluid in the tubes but the bulbs are not filling up. I've left a message for my doctor but haven't heard back. Should I be concerned?

Answer: Serous drainage around drain tubes not through them after abdominoplasty. What you describe is not terribly uncommon. I personally do not use drains but sometimes fluid can find its way to the outside along the path of the drain not necessarily through it.
