I currently have Allergen Inspira xtra full 800cc Silicone implants. I lost 30 lbs and now rippling can be seen. I would like to get this corrected but would like to go larger.I'm assuming saline is my only option due to silicone only going up to 800cc's. Are the mentor moderate plus implants the best option for over-filling? How far can they be over filled? I'm looking to go to 1000-1100cc's with a galaflex mesh. Am I a candidate for a mini or a full tummy tuck. Worried I will regret a mini
Answer: Implants Don't go bigger! Bigger is not better for you. Your overly large and heavy implants are sagging now and larger ones will sag even more. I suggest going down at least 300 cc's and repeating the lift to get a size that will fit your frame and tissue and hopefully stay in place.

Answer: Large implants There are surgeons who will overfill an 800 cc implant over 2000 cc’s. But I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. Your skin will be quite thin and you will develop pain in the back and neck. I am aware of patients who have had this done with disastrous results. It’s an absolutely horrible iidea.

Answer: Going XL and MiniTT Good evening! I perform over 200 XL augmentations a year- more than any other surgeon in the U.S. I use the Mentor Mod Plus 800-960cc shell, and it can be filled to very large volumes. Today I performed XL augmentations at 1100cc, 1250cc, and 2200cc, in three different patients from three different states, all using the same 800-960cc shell. I would also recommend a Mini-tummy tuck for you- you do not appear to have any laxity or excess skin above your belly button, and the mini-tummy tuck is much less surgery, less scarring, less cost, and less recovery!

Answer: Revision surgery Dear mfkt, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
