Why do I see wrinkles after co2 laser, its been 3 days and I still see the same wrinkles I wanted to get rid of.

Thank you for your question. Healing process can take up to 2 weeks. It can make it look worse before better. Applying moisture to the treatment area such as Cetaphil cream will help make the wrinkles less noticeable during this healing time. I hope this helps!

The benefits of fractional treatment dependent on several factors including the quality of your skin your age pretreatment, to name a few. Continued collagen thickening can take weeks or months. It may be possible that the settings for not appropriate for your skin or that your skin requires more than one treatment overtime.

CO2 laser treatment comes along a gradient.  The benefit is that skin can become smooth and wrinkles can become less noticeable as collagen regenerates.  This process takes several weeks to months.  Traditional ablative CO2 laser is a more aggressive treatment which causes some immediate skin tightening.  A full ablative treatment typically has a 10-14 day downtime and is comparable to a controlled burn.  Micro ablative CO2 laser treatment can be done on a spectrum of aggressiveness.  As the strength of the treatment decreases so does the downtime but results may not be as significant.  Immediate results depend on the depth of your wrinkles prior to treatment and the amount of downtime you were willing to accept.  Be patient because even with a  full ablative treatment, final results take time to become apparent.
