Could Fractional Co2 Laser increase facial fat?

Thank you for your question. I am not aware of any studies or reports of Fractional CO2 Laser increasing facial fat. You should see your primary care physician to see if there is an underlying medical condition (or any medications you are taking) that are causing this. I hope this helps!

I have been doing Co2 resurfacing for close to 8 years now and have never seen fractional or even fully ablative resurfacing change the fat compartments of the fat, neck, chest, or hands.  If you are concerned I suggest seeing your general physician for a general check up and/or hormonal workup.  Best, Dr. Emer.
