Six days after Bellafill treatment made the mistake of smoking a few drags of marijuana (legal for recreational use here)?

Filled w/so much regret when I think about the money I spent & how I could have jeopardized my treatment. Not smoking again at least until I'm healed but feel like there is a little bump in my nose (not very noticeable though) & my volume has dropped. Received filler in mid-face, nose, forehead, & nasolabial folds. Can I be reassured me that if I take care of myself moving forward I probably did not jeopardize the results of my treatment?

I do not believe that smoking marijuana after a Bellafill treatment would affect the results of the procedure.

It's not likely that smoking marijuana days after Bellafill injection will affect your results. It's more likely that the slight volume drop-off you experienced is from resolution of the normal post-procedure edema/swelling.

I would say that your results will not at all be affected. However, if you are a tobacco smoker, the results from Bellafill will be severely compromised. The nicotine causes the blood vessels to shrink and thus the collagen formation is subdued. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

Thank you for your question.There is virtually no problems that can be caused by the smoking....related to the filler.We all know that other issues unrelated to the filler can be created....About 50-100% of the Bellafill volume injected will be persistent long-term. In may experience, about 80% of the volume noted within 5 minutes of injection persists permanently.Best of luck.
