Hi and thank you for your question! Bellafill and Sculptra (alongside with Radiesse to some extent) are the main FDA-approved stimulatory fillers currently available in the US. You could see similar results with either treatments in the long run, but in the short-term, the results with Bellafill tend to be more noticeable, simply because it does provide some immediate Volumizing effect, while for Sculptra, the Volumizing effect is seen after a few months and as body's reaction to the filler particles in form of new collagen builds up. Please note that individual result may vary. I use both fillers on regular basis and have seen great results with either one. I hope it helps and good luck!
Volume and contouring of the cheeks can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill, Contour) and Sculptra. Implants or fat are alternatives. Botox and radiofrequency can help slim and contour the jawline. Liposuction can help slim the face. Ultherapy, J Plasma and rf treatments can provide skin tightening and lift. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Filler migration and granuloma formation can cause longterm problems with Bellafill and Artefill fillers. This is similar in patients who have Artecoll and PMMA fillers. Longterm filler complications include migration, edema, chronic swelling, and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes, corticosteroids, and scar tissue modulators. Our HIDEF approach can break down filler scarring and granulomas so that they are less apparent. If the filler material itself does not dissolve, it either means the filler is likely not HA material or is unresponsive to conservative therapy. This technique may be followed by surgical removal of the filler if there is a suitable target for removal and the chance of scarring is low. Surgical removal of Bellafill is possible and we have a wide ranging experience with the treatment. Some areas of the face can be treated because the Bellafill removal scars are barely visible. We have found that Bellafill nodules, if palpated, can be removed from the tissue. Undereye Bellafill, nasolabial fold Bellafill, and lip filler can be treated successfully. Diffuse Bellafill is difficult to treat. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Both fillers placed adequately can give you great results. The main difference is that Bellafil is permanent and Sculptra would go away in a few years. My personal choice is Bellafil.
Bellafill and Sculptra are both stimulating agents that result in thickening of the tissue under the skin to produce more volume. They both normally require a series of treatments over time to gradually fill in the treated area. I think you could obtain the same result with either product, so I would not say that one is more efficient than the other. It is just a matter of your preference and the preference of the physician treating you.
Bellafill and Sculptra are both dermal fillers used for facial rejuvenation, but they have some differences. Bellafill is a collagen-based filler mixed with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres, providing immediate volume and lasting effects. Sculptra, on the other hand, stimulates collagen production gradually over several months, resulting in a more natural-looking outcome. Your choice may depend on your specific goals and preferences, so it’s essential to consult with a skilled healthcare professional to determine which option is best for you.
Thank you for your question! Bellafill and Sculptra are both great options to augment your cheekbones. They both require multiple treatments: Bellafill about 3 months apart and Sculptra about 5-6 weeks apart. Bellafill can last up to 5 years, and Sculptra lasts about 2 years. If you have never had filler in this area, I would start with something less permanent like Radiesse (lasts about 1 year) or Sculptra which gradually re-builds your collagen. Together with your provider, you can achieve the results you are looking for. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your question. There are many really nice fillers for cheek augmentation. Bellafill and Sculptra would both give very nice results and require multiple treatments. Sculptra can be a bit more painful with results lasting 2-3 years. Bellafill has a longevity greater than five years. Juvederm Voluma also does a really nice job for cheek augmentation with more immediate results. We are lucky to have so many great dermal fillers available to us. I have success with all of the popular fillers, and each filler has its own benefits. Several patients who are undecided about their desired results opt for the less permanent fillers. Most return for the more permanent Bellafill.
The main attraction of Bellafill is that part of the filler does not go away. Sculptra typically lasts two to three years; Radiesse six to twelve months. Each product has its advantages with Sculptra providing the most collagen stimulation resulting in smoother skin texture and color. Most patients elect to have a less permanent filler injected for the first time to see what can be done. Afterwards they often choose Bellafill to give long lasting results. Please consult in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon prior to making treatment decisions.
