Can Bellafill (PMMA) be removed from my nose? (Photo)

Hi and thank you for your question! There are non-surgical options to try to smooth out any bumps following Bellafill injection including steroid injection. However since you will be undergoing surgery anyway, it might also be possible to try to remove it during the procedure. I would recommend consulting with an experienced physician to evaluate all the available options. Bellafill is a great filler but I personally prefer to use it for deeper injections (unless it's for scar treatment). I hope it helps and good luck!

Prior to trying surgery, I would try using 5FU and Kenalog. You might be able to avoid surgery. I don't place Bellafill in the nose. Surgery will most likely lead to scarring.

First, if the only issue is fullness that you don't desire, I would recommend a Kenalog injection or 5FU.If this does not remedy the issue with two injections, then surgical therapy can remove any of the areas of fullness. The key with surgery is to properly identify the exact location of the injected Bellafill.If you are having the nasal implant removed, the removal of the Bellafill can be done at the same time. Nasal dorsal reconstruction can be accomplished with minced cartilage wrapped in firm tissue (temporalis fascia) or a silastic implant. However, nasal implants that extend down into the nasal tip increase the risk of infection.A detailed physical examination and inquiry of your desired aesthetic outcome should be paramount in your treatment.Best of luck.
