I had breast augmentation 12 months ago. I have 450cc silicone. Something about my results feel "off" to me. Is is symmastia? A bottoming out? I know they are slightly uneven. Please help. I see my surgeon soon and I want to know which concerns to point out to him specifically.
Answer: Breasts It appears that the implant are too large/wide. There is some slight lower pole stretch, more notable on the right.

Answer: Implants These implants are too large and heavy for your tissue, and you are bottoming out. I would suggest going smaller, tightening the inferior pockets, and perhaps use mesh.

Answer: BA results Dear SandyCheeks1111, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Implants feeling "off" Thank you for you question. It is a little difficult to know exactly what's going on without seeing a preop photo for reference or knowing what exact implant you have. You do have some fundamental differences in how your breasts and implants are sitting, with the right breast being longer and more narrow than the left. It looks like the left implant is encroaching on the midline and your inner, lower breast fold is overdissected on the left, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if you have real symmastia when you push the implants towards the center of your chest. All of these issues should be brought up with your surgeon at your 1 year postop visit. They are correctable but would require a revisionary surgery. Best of luck.

Answer: Implants are too large Your breasts are descending inferiorly and laterally from the weight of the implants. You also have asymmetry, one breast is encroaching on the midline more than the other. At this time, I recommend removing the implants, doing a breast lift and replacing the implants with smaller implants. You will need the pocket narrowed laterally and inferiorly. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
