The answer depends on the patient’s anatomy. For some patients, placing just the CoolMini applicator under the chin would be enough to kill the unwanted fat. Wider or fatter necks may require multiple applicators and overlapping placements. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at CoolSculpting; he or she will recommend the best placement for your individual needs.
Hello and thank you for your question. Recommendation on which method to use depends on your anatomy and only after a consultation by an experienced and certified practice. Most practices offer complimentary consultations and this is where a proper treatment plan can be customized for your specific goals. You may want to learn more about Kybella too. It's an FDA-approved injectable to dissolve fat underneath the chin. We often do a combination therapy of CoolMini + Kybella to achieve optimal results (fat reduction and contouring). Hope this helps!
Without a picture it's hard for me to advise. It's all based on your assessment to begin with. If you go to a great and certified center (you can see that on coolsculpting.com) they should advise you correctly. I can tell you most clients benefit from 2 applicators overlapping slightly in the middle. Find a provider you trust and I bet you're feel comfortable. Remember most clients need this done twice as well!
Hello, Thank you for your question. One of these applications is not necessarily better than the other by itself. It’s dependent on what the patients needs. Some patients may not have enough in the area to treat with two cycles. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. Good luck!
This is difficult to answer without pictures, because it can vary. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and needs to be combined with thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting for good results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
As the name implies, Coolsculpting is a tool for "sculpting" the fat. Think of the technician as an artist. They have to look at your anatomy and plan out the best strategy to get the best results. I suggest doing a little research on the person who is going to do the procedure. Find someone with a good reputation and then trust their judgement.
This is a good question. We generally use the applicator once under the chin but in some cases we have have to overlap it. This depends on the patient and their anatomy. I would have to see a photo of the area to determine if 1 or 2 applicators is needed.Best of luck!
I would defer to your consult and your anatomy as to whether 1 or 2 applicators is right or you. Good luck with your treatments.
Hi. This question can only be answered by your expert coolsculpting provider after evaluating your chin area. We usually use two overlapping applicators, but if the chin is smaller, just one applicator may suffice. It all depends on how extensive the fat is and how wide the chin area is. Other options for chin fat reduction include Vaser liposuction and ThermiRf.
Thanks for your question about Cool Sculpting. In treating different areas such as the neck or abdomen there is not one best probe. The decision on where to place probes and the treatment plan can vary based on an individual patient's body type and where the excess fat lies. In some cases a single mini directly under the chin is ideal, but in other patients with wider necks and more fat out to the sides- the application of the probes in overlapping fashion might work better. Make sure you are working with an experienced and highly trained Cool Sculpting practice.Best Wishes
