Thank you very much for your question andcongratulations on your recent CoolSculpting procedure. Taking two Aleve afteryour CoolSculpting treatment will not in any way impede your final results.Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) are not recommended for the firstseveral weeks after CoolSculpting in an effort to keep bruising and swelling ata minimum. Continue to carefully follow your CoolSculpting provider’spost-treatment instructions, and if you have any further questions, contacthis/her office with your concerns.
Don’t worry. The reason we advise not using medication, including NSAIDs and Aleve, after CoolSculpting is to minimize the swelling and bruising. Taking Aleve won’t affect your CoolSculpting results at all, but may give just a bit more bruising. Once the fat has been treated, it’s gone for good. The cells will die in a few weeks and then get washed away regardless of Aleve. Be sure to maintain your weight so you can enjoy your beautiful new figure over the long term. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to perform any new CoolSculpting treatments you need, for best results.
Thank you for your question. Although post procedure instructions do vary from one practitioner to another, I do advise my patients to avoid Asprin and Ibuprophen products, including Alieve after a CoolSculpting procedure in order to avoid bruising. Taking 2 Alieve tablets after your procedure will not effect your result. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question.Avoid the use of anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen and naproxen for six weeksafter the treatment. Taking 2 Aleve should not effect your Coolsculpting results. I recommend you schedule a follow up with your doctor to address your questions and concerns. Best of Luck.Andrew Lyos, MD, FACS
No, this is unlikely to negatively impact your results. Keep in mind, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I do not think that taking two Aleve after your CoolSculpting treatment will have any effect on your results. Some doctors may ask their patients to avoid anti-inflammatory medications, such as Aleve, after a CoolSculpting procedure and others may not. In any case, I do not believe taking two Aleve will cause any issues.
Some CoolSculpting practitioners advise their patients to avoid anti-inflammatory medications, including Aleve, after treatment. Patients looking for pain relief are generally directed to used Tylenol and other medications that do not have anti-inflammatory properties. However, taking just a couple of Aleve should not pose any problem or cause for any concern. Of course, it’s always a good idea to reach out to your CoolSculpting specialist for advice that’s specific to your case.
HI there! No concern with taking the ibuprofen. You may be referring to stopping anticoagulants before procedures that can result in bruising, but its not much of a concern, especially with the new applicators. Also, its more of a concern before the treatment than after. We tell our patients if they feel a little soreness after the treatment they actually can take an ibuprofen to help. Best, Jennifer Tinelli, NP-C
Aleve should not have any affect on your CoolSculpting results. CoolSculpting is an FDA approved, noninvasive fat reduction technique to transform your body without any surgical risks. Using the power of cold temperatures to freeze the fat below your skin, CoolSculpting can eliminate stubborn fat pockets from your: double chin, arms, abdomen, flanks, love handles, as well as the inner and outer thighs. For optimal results, it is important to seek consultation from a board certified dermatologist. Thank you for your question, best of luck!
It should not negatively impact your treatment results. Any further treatments consult your treating physician. Good luck with your treatment and results.
Unless you are having CoolSculpting in your chest area, the procedure is totally unrelated to breast lift surgery. You should discuss your plans with your CoolSculpting provider and your plastic surgeon, in case either has recommendations. You could have CoolSculpting as you await your breast...
Dear scgreen1223:There is no evidence that strenuous exercise will help resolve bruising or swelling faster, but it makes sense that increasing vascular and lymphatic flow through mild exercise that contracts the local muscles might help. Cold compresses and arnica are helpful, as is bromelain...
Thank you for your question and photograph. The buttocks is not a recommended treatment area for CoolSculpting. Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your particular circumstances. Good luck.
