Acid reflux. Is this common after this surgery?

I got a breast lift and implants 3 years ago. It seems like soon after I started getting the acid reflex. It is very bad chest pains they mimmick a heart attack and have had several trips to hospital 911 called ect. Is this common after this surgery? Thanks

There should be no association between acid reflux and your surgery and the timing is likely coincidental.  Make sure you discuss you concerns with your primary doctor as there are many great medications to control acid reflux and it sounds as though this has been especially problematic for you.  If necessary your primary care physician can refer you to a specialist to treat your condition.  Best of luck!

This is not common to my knowledge and definitely not common in my practice.  See medical attention from your primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist about the cause and treatment of your GERD (acid reflux)

It has been too long since your surgery for the implants to have anything to do with your symptoms.  I would recommend a consult with a gastroenterologist.

Gastroesophagic reflux disease is no associated with breast surgery; some medicatios like painkillers afer surgey can caused; you need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist to see whats the cause of this reflux.Regards.

There is no association. This is most likely a coincidental finding. Tightening the muscles in tummy tuck surgery may theoretically accentuate GERD symptoms, but not in breast lift surgery.I recommend an expert advice from a gastroenterologist in your city.
