I’m a professional dancer considering getting a breast augmentation. Will it affect my career?

You should be fine to have a breast augmentation and continue to dance. I would suggest talking to your surgeon about placing the implant under your gland if you and your surgeon determine that your dancing might cause your pec muscles to displace the implant--something called animation--that may be visible when dancing. I usually put implants under the muscle but in dancers, body builders, athletes, trainers, and other performers sometimes it is better to place the implant under the gland. 

Thank you for your question. The answer is no, it shouldn't. After allowing your breasts to fully heal, you should be able to slowly ramp up your activity and get back into your normal routine. I have personally performed breast augmentations on professional dancers without any complications. They have been able to resume their professions just fine.
