Dermaplaning after Botox is safe. Generally, I only advise a 24-hour waiting period between Botox and other procedures or vigorous activities. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at dermaplaning, as it takes a light touch and skilled hand.
Yes you can have dermaplaning done 3 days after Botox, we typically counsel our patients to avoid rubbing or touching the area injected, lying down or doing anything that may cause it to diffuse (such as head upside down in yoga) for 4 hours after injection.
ReportThank you for your question.you should be fine to proceed . Dermaplaning would have no effect on your botox
Yes - in my opinion you should be fine getting a superficial skin enhancement procedure like this 3 days after Botox.
Yes it should be fine to have a dermaplaning treatment three days after receiving Botox. At that time there is very low risk of any migration of the product.
Hello Michelle,In my experience, we want the Botox to stay in the injected muscle and not diffuse to other muscles for best results. There is recent scientific evidence to support repeated use of the injected muscle immediately following injection. Many physicians will recommend not laying down after Botox. Patients should avoid rubbing or placing pressure on the injected areas following treatments. Practically speaking, Botox will quickly be absorbed into the treated muscles. Current recommendations are to wait 4 hours before manipulating the treatment area - this applies to any additional procedure, including dermaplaning. Always make sure to consult closely with your physician for best results.
Thank you for your question.Simple answer should be fine to proceed unless there is some irritation to the skin. Dermaplaning would have no effect on your botox.Best Dr. L
Followingfacial Botox injection, I ask my patients to notrub the injected areas for 6 hours to prevent unwanted spread of theBotox. Otherwise, they can resume allnormal activities. Dermaplaning is a simple procedure that exfoliates the toplayer of the skin and removes fine facialhair (peach fuzz) and should not interfere with your Botox injection three days out.
Dermaplanning and Botox do not have any contraindications to being performed together. Therefore, you can safely and effectively receive a dermaplane procedure as early as 4 hours after Botox injections. I usually have my patients wait 4 hours before lying down flat so I would not inject them within the first few hours as they would have to be flat during the dermaplane procedure.
Hello and thank you for your question. In my opinion, yes, you should be fine receiving this treatment 3 days after Botox.
Thank you very much for your question. In general, it is recommended that you postpone vigorous activity and exercise for at least 24 hours after your Botox injections. However, every surgeon has their own set of recovery protocols, so he/she may recommend a different plan. I suggest speaking...
Thank you for your question! I don't believe that Botox would pose any problem for you. However, you may want to discuss the matter with your primary doctor to see if they have any concerns or reservations.
Yes, it is okay to go ahead with your dental treatment. The dental anesthetic should have no affect on your Botox results. Good luck.
