I feel like my eye is more hooded after filler/Botox. How do I treat this?

Hooded eyes can occur after Botox injections. Botox works by relaxing muscles. Forehead injections of Botox can relax and drop the eyebrow, creating a hood appearance of the upper eyes. The hooded appearance resolves with time. For some patients, modifications of Botox treatments can help limit the hooded appearance. Alternatively, long term considerations may included upper eyelid surgery and/or brow lift surgery. Thank you for your question. It sounds like you may have dropped. This can happen when you’ve had too much Botox, or accidentally touched the area or looked down too soon after treatment. It will resolve itself in a couple days/weeks. You should contact your provider to see if they have any other suggestions. Good luck!

I would recommend going back to your physician and discussing what it going on. Potentially, you could either be seeing ptosis (eyelid droop) or brow descent from the Botox. Ptosis can be aided with a topical eye drop, but brow descent you will just have to wait out, or have the other brow lowered as well. Hope this helps!dr. silver
