Hello! Im wanting to see if i am a candidate for a tummy tuck or a mini tuck. Im 42 5’6 125lbs Ive had 3 kids, 2 of which were over 9#. I really dislike my bellybutton and my lower stomach.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. It’s difficult to identify significant skin laxity in these photos so recommending a standard tummy tuck may be tough to do without a proper evaluation. Based on the photos alone and your information given, I would consider a mini tummy tuck.

A mini tummy tuck and a full tummy tuck solve different problems. I reviewed the photos; the visible concerns are mild lower-abdominal skin laxity and some wrinkling/irregularity around the belly button, rather than a large amount of excess skin.
A mini tummy tuck can help a limited amount of loose skin below the belly button, but it usually does not improve the belly button much and does not address upper abdominal skin. A full tummy tuck is more predictable if there is muscle separation from pregnancy, skin laxity above and below the belly button, or if the belly button needs to be reshaped as part of the operation.
Because you are lean, the decision will depend heavily on an in-person exam: skin pinch, presence of diastasis, scar position, and whether your main goal is the lower abdomen, the belly button, or both. If the belly button is the main concern, an umbilicoplasty or limited skin procedure may also be worth discussing.

From your photographs, it seems you do not need a full tummy tuck.  You her abdominal contour has been quite well preserved after having children.  Of course a good examination is always required to give you the best recommendation.  A mini tummy tuck and umbilical revision may be a good way to proceed.  It seems you already have a very nice aesthetics of the abdomen and you might want to keep surgery to a minimum!

Your photos suggest you have a diastasis recti, i.e. a separation of your muscles. This can be confirmed by a physical examination with your surgeon. If present, the recommended procedure would be a standard abdominoplasty.

You are an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck. This may be a full or partial abdominoplasty depending on the amount of extra skin and fat of the lower abdomen. Your abdominal wall also needs to be tightened. The belly button can also modified at that time.
