This is my first Botox, but I've had Dysport before (about 8 months ago, 50 units in the forehead, none between the eyes) (16 in forehead 20 between eyes) and it took a little over a week for me to freeze up. I'm worried that because I'm seeing no wrinkles already, and because of the pressure, that too much Botox was used and my forehead is going to be over-frozen. Is this likely? Or do some people just respond this rapidly to Botox? Is there anything I can do to keep it from becoming more frozen over the next few days?
Answer: Botox working While on average Botox takes several days to start working and 2 weeks for the full effect, everyone is different. Some of my patients will notice a complete relaxation with in 24-48 hours. Although not reversible, advise your injector for future session if you think it is too much. From the images it looks like you are getting an excellent result.

Answer: It’s normal for the body to respond differently to different treatments. Although BOTOX® and Dysport® are very similar, there are some formulation variances between the two products that are different enough to cause your body to react in slightly different ways. This can be particularly true if you switch from one product to the other, as your body may respond more quickly to the unrecognized injectable. BOTOX® can cause some sensation changes, though these may dissipate over time. In general, though, I would say that your results look very nice, so I wouldn’t worry too much about how quickly your results became visible. Just enjoy your new look!

Answer: People respond at different times to Botox some with in 2-3 days and some take a full 2 weeks. People respond at different times to Botox some with in 2-3 days and some take a full 2 weeks. Some people have used a series of myofacials in attempts to decrease effects of Botox. You will have to wait until the Botox metabolizes at 3-6 months as there is no treatment for reversal. Advise the injector to use less Botox at your next treatment if you are unhappy with results.

Answer: Pressure sensation after Botox I usually tell my patients to expect onset of muscle paralysis in 5-7 days after Botox injection and 3-5 days for Dysport. That being said, it is not unusual for this to happen sooner. In my experience, many patients who have Botox or Dysport injections describe feeling pressure or discomfort with the onset of paralysis, especially if this is your first time having these treatments. This can be quite anxiety-provoking. But, rest assure knowing that most patients "get used to" the feeling of the muscle paralysis and this does not trouble them long-term. I'd be curious to know how you are feeling over the next week or so. Consider posting more about your experience in a week or so. I hope this is helpful. Good luck!

Answer: Had Botox 4 days ago and my forehead is already almost completely frozen. Normal? It looks like you are on the path to getting an excellent result! While Botox starts kicking in around day 2, it typically doesn't reach its max benefit until around day 14. This is highly variable amongst patients -- some say they have full effect much earlier. Don't try to evaluate the results of your injections too soon -- wait the two weeks and then assess. If you feel you have too little movement, then ask your injector to use less next time. The pressure sensation is completely normal and it will subside with time. I wish you well!
