Unfortunately, botox is a treatment that being performed by many unqualified injectors with sometimes less than ideal oversignt and with not always genuine botox. Poor treatment can lead to serious health issues. Proper botox technique will also minimize the number of units for optimal treatment. For those reasons, it is important to go to an experienced and expert physician injector.

There are several states with "loose" rules on injections. Just because someone "can" do something does not mean they "should". You can consult with the medical board in your state to see who is or is not authorized to inject. Allergan will only sell their products to physicians, so if someone is injecting they've either acquired the Botox from a physician (who is or is not overseeing them), or they are importing the product from overseas (bad news and illegal).
