Who is authorized to inject Botox/fillers in Colorado?

Always research the clinic where you will receive Botox injections. The injector must work under a Medical Director in order to administer Botox. There are many skillful nurse injectors. To answer your question, not everyone who takes the course is authorized to inject on their own. Allergan supplies Botox only to Medical Directors. Hope this Helps.

i would recommend only seeking Botox from a Board certified Dermatologist or plastic surgeon. 

I would consult with the Colorado Department of Health for clarity. Unfortunately, botox is a treatment that being performed by many unqualified injectors with sometimes less than ideal oversignt and with not always genuine botox. Poor treatment can lead to serious health issues. Proper botox technique will also minimize the number of units for optimal treatment. For those reasons, it is important to go to an experienced and expert physician injector.

There are several states with "loose" rules on injections. Just because someone "can" do something does not mean they "should". You can consult with the medical board in your state to see who is or is not authorized to inject. Allergan will only sell their products to physicians, so if someone is injecting they've either acquired the Botox from a physician (who is or is not overseeing them), or they are importing the product from overseas (bad news and illegal). Remember that injecting is an art and people who take a weekend course just will never have the same skills as someone who has studied facial anatomy for years.
