Could my elevated liver enzymes stop my surgery?

This is an issue that needs to be discussed between your PCP and plastic surgeon. In situation like yours medical clearance for surgery is needed. Good luck.

This elevation is very minor and should not affect your surgery. Elevation above several hundred may be cause for concern but not these very slight increases. (Assuming the rest of your labs are normal.)

Thank you for your question. my advice is to visit a gastroenterologist to check your CBC and make sure you are in optimal conditions before the procedure. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. You should be healthy prior to any elective procedure. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Best plan is obtain written medical clearances from your internist or liver MD ASAP. Then you can present to your chosen Plastic Surgeon the results. I have done many lipo 360/BBL with lab results like yours.

Your ALT and AST are only mildly elevated and should not interfere with your surgery. I do not order liver enzyme tests prior to surgical procedures.
If your PMD is worried, they may repeat them just to make sure they are accurate.

You should review your lab results with the Doctor Who ordered the tests which I’m assuming is the plastic surgeon who will be doing your procedure.
