How long after lipo on stomach and pubic does the pubic region take to go down? Also what faja is recommended? Most don’t compress that area? Thank you
Answer: How long after lipo does pubic swelling go down At about four to six weeks, bruising, swelling, and soreness will not be noticeable anymore. To further reduce the risk of fluid collection, no strenuous activity should be performed for about 6 weeks. Ask the board-certified plastic surgeon which compression garment he/she prefers and the length of time to wear.

Answer: How long after liposuction will it take for pubic swelling to go down? Thank you for your question regarding pubic swelling after pubic or FUPA liposuction. Typically swelling takes 6 to 8 weeks to go down after liposuction. The pubic region usually takes longer. In my experience, pubic swelling goes down approximately 10 to 12 weeks after liposuction. Ways to minimize swelling after liposuction include arnica, decompression, brovaline, and lymphatic massage. For the pubic region, I would suggest lymphatic massage for at least 3 to 4 weeks. I would also suggest compression. I would look on the Internet for garments specifically designed for pubic compression after liposuction. There are many such vendors with excellent products. Thank you for your question regarding pubic swelling after liposuction. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Swelling The majority of swelling after liposuction resolves after about six weeks, though it can take months for complete resolution. Lymphatic massage is helpful to control swelling and help tissues to heal. Your surgeon can help you to select compression that best addresses the surgical areas.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear MsN14, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Post-Liposuction After Care -- Compression, Lymphatic Massage, Hyperbaric Oxygen, Radiofrequency (Venus Legacy, Exilis, Forma) Swelling post-lipo can persist for months, so it's important to be on the right after care protocols. In addition to compression, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and radiofrequency treatments, lymphatic massage is highly effective in the prevention of fluid buildup, scar tissue, inflammation, and infections. Lymphatic massage also decreases the chance of irregularities, lumps or bumps; accelerates healing and minimizes downtime; and, following a liposculpture procedure, can help further contour the abdominals. I recommend that my liposculpture patients receive lymphatic massage treatments every day for a week following their procedure; twice per week for the following month; and then once per week until healing is complete. I recommend following up with your physician (or with a hi-definition physique expert) about best after care practices. Best, Dr. Emer.
