Nipple adhesion - can this be fixed with scar excision? (Photo)

Question

Hello, i had my breast implants removed on August 22nd, partial capsulectomy, textured implants, strattice mesh. I have no breast tissue at the mid/bottom portion of my breasts. I’ve developed an adhesion behind the left nipple (attached to the chest wall with a thick tether), and the right nipple is folded over. My question is: is a whole surgery needed or could this be resolved with a scar excision..… some sort of office procedure ? I’ve had 4 breast surgeries already and would love to avoid another.

Considering the extent of deformity and the fact that you do not tolerate implants, the only options are autologous reconstructions using latissimus dorsi flap (skin and muscle) from your back x2 or staged correction with fat grafting. First surgery is very expensive and because of that rarely used in cosmetic surgery. Fat grafting is however, cheaper but requires, most likely, 3 stages and probably 1,5 years to achieve desired result. In person consultation with a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in breast reconstruction is recommended. Good luck.

Thank you for your question and photo. Scar excision is surgery! and your tissues being thin, you might risk losing the nipple/areolar complex. I would approach this via scar detachment and injection of biostimulators. This is an in-office procedure done under local anesthesia. Might need more than one session. Once the tissues area soft, you might need fat grafting into the area for further improvement. This is done under local anesthesia as well. See a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
