Milk ducts following inverted nipple correction

Question

Ive had a successful inverted nipple correction on both sides and am very happy with the outcome. Im hoping to have children in the future, what will happen to my breasts/the milk? I am aware i will not be able to breasfeed and that is something i accepted, however can anyone tell me what i can expect to happen to my breasts when the time comes? Will they still fill internally with milk and will it cause pain since i am not able to expell it?

After inverted nipple surgery many milk ducts may be blocked, as a result the milk production self regulates. The breasts engorge but if there is no relief the signals reduce milk production. The supply of breast milk increase with demand. Apply ice packs and take antiinflammatory tablets. Sage and jasmine teas and peppermint oil massage is helpfull.

Breastfeeding potential can be affected by inverted nipples correction surgery since the milk ducts are divided in order to correct the tethered nipple deformity.  Nipple sensation typically remains intact but may change as well.

Breastfeeding may still be possible after inverted nipple correction surgery but is not guaranteed.
 
I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to further discuss your options, concerns and expectations.
