Hi, I have a prominent chin. There is not a lot of online research about this, so wanted advice on reduction of the bone (chin projection), is it better to do so with shaving or cutting the bone and reattaching with plates and screws? I do not want to risk chin ptosis. What is the maximum mm you can perform with shaving down the bone? Like everyone else, there is soft tissue on the end of the chin, is there more risk with one procedure more than the other, or both equally?
