I have a consultation booked for a genioplasty procedure with my oral maxillofacial surgeon in January. To give some context, my bite is perfect since I just took off my braces. I know for sure I am going to need not only horizontal advancement, but also vertical. My question is, will they need bone graft from my hip to fill in the gap between my jaw and chin bone when they vertically advance it?

Yes, the bone is technically healed after 6 weeks but definitely after 6 months. You will be able to see the cut on an xray for for a while, but it should eventually disappear.
Based on your pictures, it looks like you would benefit from a chin implant and a brow lift to get rid of the loose skin under your eyebrows and an eventual tip plasty.
I hope this helps,
Best of luck !
Your overall facial structure is fairly balanced. If you are looking to make subtle changes, you may want to consider jawline and chin contouring. This essentially entails shaving down the bone to create more contour, and in your case, bring the chin back a bit without having to cut the bone...
