Would a chin implant or jaw contouring help me achieve a more heart shaped face? (photos)

The first pic I am on the right and the left is my goal face shape. My face is very round and egg like but oblong. I was wondering if a chin implant would make my face more heart shaped like the pic on the left?

Hello ! Thank you for your question You can use a slightly smaller chin implant volume than your target, the volume of the implant you choose makes your face look too long and large, I recommend a small implant volume for a more natural look.

The face you like has a more narrow chin.  We would need to examine your jaw to se if it is jaw width, or thick soft tissue that is creating the look of width for you. It may even be your masseter muscle, a muscle on the side of the jaw that is larger on one side or another.  
This is an area we address frequently.  The treatments range from a quick injection, to short office procedures, to one hour in the operating room.

Hi Bright810693, excellent question! It's hard to give you a definitive answer answer without examining you. However, I do see the the contour and lower face fullness that concerns you. For a more narrow lower face, you can consider buccal fat removal and botox to the masseter muscles, both of which can slenderize the face and give the desired heart shape. You can also consider filler to the chin. This will help mimic the look, and is not permanent. If you love the result, than you can commit to the implant. Hope that helps!

A full set of facial photographs of you from all different angles are required,  since the Chin is a three-dimensional structure, and the augmentation occurs in three dimensions. Placement of a chin implant is performed mostly to augment the chin forward, but it also gives additional width from the frontal view and a small amount of vertical height

The goal is achievable but one must be careful about implant shapes since they can be quite 'full' and not tapered as in your image. As well, your jawline may be more suited to a genioplasty given the natural contours present. The surgeon will review the images/xrays as well.
