Ellacor is FDA approved for face so any other areas can be treated, but you would be treating them "off label." When you do treatments "off label" it is ok, it just means the FDA didn't look at the device to treat that area. We've done neck and submental areas with Ellacor many times. The effect on neck skin is not as dramatic as facial skin but you definitely feel a difference. Best Wishes!!
Hello, hope you are well. Yes, I apply Ellacor to the submental/submandibular neck regularly. I have found the only limiting factor to be the thickness of the skin. If it's too thick, the Ellacor device is unable to micro-core the skin effectively. Cheers,Dr. Tower
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful...
Unlike radiofrequency microneedling, there is no energy delivered as the core of skin is being removed-leaving the hairshaft and the stem cells lining on the cellular level theoretically more protected. Although I have not heard of hair loss in the beard area from Ellacor, it theoretically...
The 8% setting can lead to prolonged redness or healing. If done by an experienced doctor, overlapping should not occur. Most of the time we use 5% as it seems to give a similarly good result with less redness
Yes it's a one time use tip and it's timed as well. Each tip I think has about 90 minutes and has 24,000 cores before the machine won't use it . That said, Ellacor is sold only to plastic surgeons and dermatologists. We hopefully all know how to keep you safe! Best Wishes!!
I'm quite impressed that you are justifiably concerned and skeptical of the marketing hype and social media buzz out there to hawk the use of the relatively expensive fraxel laser, RF, and ultrasound devices out there. It does really seem that many venues are quick to push for everything...
I love this question and both devices! I don't know if there is a consensus answer out there though on your question, but I think that giving it at least 6 weeks makes sense to me. I would also wait until I'm happy with how the Ellacor has healed and see if another Ellacor is indicated. ...
