Ellacor for crepey skin on neck after facelift?

Question

After 2 facelifts, I have crepy skin on my neck. I have had RF Micro needling but the crepy ness still remains. Do you think Ellacore would be a good choice to remedy this problem?

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Yes!! I like Ellacor exactly for issues like this.  I like Morpheus RF microneedling also and have had patients alternate between the two treatments.  Morpheus does take about 7 months to get full effect and depending on your age, both Ellacor and Morpheus need more than one treatment.  Ellacor was approved with 2-3 treatments for the effects the FDA approved it for.  Best Wishes!!

To best answer your question, an exam would be needed.  Lower face/neck lifts typically improve any neck skin laxity.  But patients not wishing to undergo further surgeries, nonsurgical options will improve this area.  RF micro needling does not remove any skin.  It uses energy based thermal injury of the skin to improve skin quality.  ellacor is a micro-coring device that does not cause any thermal injury of the skin. This is the only device that removes skin.  Depending on your exam, more than one session of ellacor may be recommended.

First of all, you need an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon. None of the radio frequency devices will help the looseness of the skin in your face despite the fact that you’ve had two facelifts. Radio, frequency devices, destroys subcutaneous, fat as a rule. The best way to get rid of looseness of the skin on the face is to restore the volume of the face that has been lost over the years as the person ages. The absolute best way to correct this problem is with fat grafting to the face. When this Procedure is done by a plastic surgeon with lots of experience in fat grafting techniques, the results are natural and practically permanent.
