Ellacor FDA Recall

I'm concerned that there is an ellacor recall on the FDA website. Does this only effect certain machines at a specific setting (8%) or are all machines being recalled?

Yes it's a one time use tip and it's timed as well. Each tip I think has about 90 minutes and has 24,000 cores before the machine won't use it . That said, Ellacor is sold only to plastic surgeons and dermatologists. We hopefully all know how to keep you safe! Best Wishes!!

I love this question and both devices! I don't know if there is a consensus answer out there though on your question, but I think that giving it at least 6 weeks makes sense to me. I would also wait until I'm happy with how the Ellacor has healed and see if another Ellacor is indicated. ...

Hello, hope you are well. Even if it had a theoretical benefit (which is unknown), in it's current form Ellacor cannot be reliably or safely applied to the area of the face where festoons occur. Best,Dr. Tower
